Political analysts Martin Oloo and Prof Gitile Naituli said that by-elections cannot be used as a real test for any leader because voter turnout is usually very low.
However, they noted that Kindiki and Mudavadi are under pressure to show good results .
Because of the large amount of resources they have used in the two constituencies.
Prof Naituli said that even though it is not a true test, a win would still be a good sign for them.
He added that both leaders want positive results since they have invested heavily in the region and want to show their efforts are paying off.
Analyst Martin Oloo said that President Ruto does not depend on anyone to win elections because he prefers to campaign for himself.
He added that Ruto does not care much about Kindiki or Mudavadi’s performance, as he alone will decide who becomes the next Deputy President.
